This week you might notice some activity at Lobethal Bushland Park – an expansive new play space is coming soon!

The Adelaide Hills Council are now in the final stages of finalising the contract for the construction of the new play space at Bushland Park, and have recently announced that the design for the play space is also now finalised.

The play space was designed using the Council’s feedback gathered from the Adelaide Hills community during the consultation phase earlier in the year.

The site was handed over to the contractor on Monday September 27, so Lobethal locals can expect to notice fencing going up, logs being delivered, and site preparation to start shortly.

The Adelaide Hills council have estimated that the construction will be complete by the end of January next year, but have made it clear that this is very dependent on delivery times, material delivery and weather conditions.

The play space is set to have entertaining options for both young and older children. The new playground will include two slides, swing sets and a range of obstacles to climb. The set out encompasses the natural environment if the bushland park with scattered rocks and lively plants.

There will also be a revitalised BBQ area and loads of seating for a fun-filled day out with the family.

With plenty of car park options, a plethora of stunning walking trails, and what is soon to be a brand new BBQ and playground area, Lobethal’s Bushland Park makes for a lovely day out in the Adelaide Hills.

Bushland Park is located at 25 Gumeracha Lobeth Rd, Lobethal SA 5241.
