Pedla and Brompton Australia have teamed up to create an exhilarating pop-up experience for cycling enthusiasts during the 2024 Tour Down Under in Adelaide, which is on right now!
In Brompton Australia’s own words, they’ve create a pop-up with Pedla called Local Loops Bike Punks Pop Up “based on the punk ethos of individual freedom & creativity.” The store’s been plastered in graffiti style fluro pink print, a neon sign, tie-die clothing, decked out with cool merch and more.
Situated at Hindmarsh Square and in partnership with local businesses like LOC, Carton Deli, Mischief Brewing, and Mismatch Brewing, this initiative seeks to celebrate and bolster South Australia’s local businesses.
“Pedla and Brompton Australia are back in Adelaide, celebrating all things cycling and summer over 9 days, finishing up on Saturday 20th January with a close out party at LOC Bottle Bar,” Adam from Pedla says.
“Located at 4 Hindmarsh Square, their pop-up is the go to place for social rides in the morning, cold refreshments from Mischief Brew and is located right next door to LOC Bottle Bar, the perfect place to unwind with some great local wines and produce.”
So far, two community social rides organised by MOOD Racing have taken place during during the Women’s Tour Down Under, offering participants the opportunity to witness professional cyclists in action.
Additional rides are scheduled from Wednesday to Saturday during the Men’s Tour Down Under, providing ample chances for cyclists to explore picturesque routes while immersing themselves in the lively cycling community.
Pedla, renowned for its premium cycling gear and calls Melbourne home, has also introduced an exclusive one-off jersey for the Adelaide pop-up. The limited-edition Bike Punks Jersey, inspired by their Classic Jersey style, will be exclusively available at this location. Also, the pop-up presents a comprehensive selection of summer riding attire for those in need.
In collaboration with the local MOOD Racing group, Pedla ensures that the event’s rides encompass some of Adelaide’s most iconic climbs and roads. These rides are designed to be social-paced, building connections among participants as they enjoy the scenic landscapes and sunny weather.
The closing party, scheduled for Saturday, January 20th, starting at 8 pm, will be held at LOC Bottle Bar. It’s known for its carefully curated selection of wines that celebrate thoughtful producers. It sources wines from around the world, including Australia, France, Italy, Spain, Austria, and beyond, all with a focus on quality and authenticity.
Its wines are crafted by those who prioritise organic grape growing and minimal intervention winemaking, allowing the natural flavours of the fruit to shine. At LOC, they believe in enjoying exceptional wines from passionate people who let their craft speak for itself.
The festivities will include a DJ set by @velodrone and an array of local wines and produce to enjoy. This event promises to be the perfect way to conclude the Tour Down Under celebrations.
