New igloo experience to debut in Adelaide with French Alps inspired winter wonderland

From 10th May to 9th June, be transported to the French Alps from the centre of Adelaide. Indulge in a traditional French dish oozing with melted cheese while surrounded by a cozy, winter mountain-style ambiance at the Raclette Igloo experience.

Adelaide is set to be transported to the French Alps with a new Raclette Igloo Experience. It’s bringing traditional French fun to the CBD with dishes oozing with melted cheese while surrounded by a cozy, winter mountain-style ambiance, from From 10th of May to 9th of June.

Following its resounding success in Canberra, Melbourne, and Sydney, this unique venture is set to captivate cheese enthusiasts in Adelaide.

“Raclette isn’t just a meal – it’s a French tradition of sharing, laughter, and indulgence. Some of my best memories are gathering around the Raclette grill with my friends and family, savouring the delicious flavours and enjoying each other’s company, Vincent Hernandez, Raclette Igloo Founder and Director, says.

“At the Igloo Raclette experience, we bring that same warmth and joy to Adelaide, allowing people to create unforgettable memories together – while indulging in lots of cheese.”

As the chill of May descends upon Adelaide, the Raclette Igloo Experience is perfectly timed to take over Festival Plaza. With cooler nights on the horizon, it presents an ideal opportunity for friends and families to gather in private igloos, indulging in the richness of Raclette cheese, accompanied by sips of mulled wine and the cozy warmth of fire pits with marshmallows.

Featuring 14 igloos, each named after renowned French ski resorts, the Raclette Igloo promises an exclusive and intimate affair.

Upon arrival, guests will be welcomed by French-speaking staff, adding to the cultural immersion. A Raclette Guide will lead visitors through the nuances of enjoying Raclette, enhancing the authenticity of the dining experience.

The ambiance will transport guests to a winter wonderland, with snowfall upon arrival, the aromatic allure of mulled wine, and the enchanting glow of pine trees and fairy lights. Within each igloo, friends and families can come together to relish one of France’s most beloved dishes.

Guests can now secure their tickets for parties of 6 or 8 people, ensuring an exclusive dining affair.

With up to two tonnes of Raclette cheese imported from the French Alpine regions, guests will savor the authentic flavours of this winter delicacy.

Served with cured meats, boiled potatoes, pickled onions, and cornichons, the meal is complemented by a glass of mulled wine, or alternative beverage options available at the equipped mini bar.

If you have a nostalgic love for the timeless tradition of roasting giant marshmallows around a fire pit, then this will be something you want on your Winter bucket list.
