Dunfor Noodle Bar is the latest ramen noodle bar to take to the Adelaide CBD with an opening date geared for October this year.
Formerly The Deli on Pultney, the Dunfor window seating overlooks Hindmarsh Square, offering outdoor seating within the square as well. The restaurant will also have a capacity of 86.
The owner and operator, Justin Healy is also the founder of Quality Noods, which launched as a pop up at the Exeter last year.
While not too much else is known just yet about Dunfor, we’re excited to see what comes of the space.
In a previous interview with Glam Adelaide, Healy told the reporter, “The ramen pop up really that came out of my interest in travelling overseas and seeing a ramen truck run by a Swedish guy and I thought I could probably give this a crack. He was really nice and inspired me a lot.”
Healy has since been featured at LOC Bottle Bar during the Fringe Festival as a guest chef.
LOC Bottle Bar is another new small business in Adelaide, located right next door to Dunfor Noodle Bar. Opening at the end of last year, the bar is primarily a small wine bar which hosts a variety of guest chefs like Healy himself. When there are no guest chefs in residence, LOC Bottle Bar offers a café menu of ethically sourced coffee, pastries and toasties, which are available from 7am each weekday morning.
The new edition of the Dunfor Noodle Bar fits in well with Adelaide’s wider range of Asian cuisines offered in the CBD. Another stand out edition to the Asian food market in Adelaide, right around the corner from Dunfor, is Pultney Street’s Fire x Soi 38.
Fire x Soi 38 is a Thai restaurant located on Pirie Street. The restaurant offers a wide range of Thai street food and more traditional Thai favourites. Fire x Soi 38 proved popular during the Fringe Festival season, quickly becoming a crowd favourite amongst festival goers.
Dunfor Noodle Bar will be located at 62 Pultney Street, Adelaide SA 5000.
