New Restaurant Agapi Will Make You Fall In Love With Greek Food Again

Agapi is an ode to traditional Greek food — the same flavours we all know and love, just with a modern twist.

There is just something very comforting about Greek food — maybe it’s the history, the culture, the flavours. Whatever it is, we’re huge fans of the cuisine.

And that’s why we were super excited to learn about Agapi, the newest addition to bustling King William Road, having opened just a week and a half ago.

Their menu features traditional Greek classics with a modern twist. Executive chef, Alex, says you’ll find the same flavours, just presented differently. Alex was born and raised in Cyprus, so we fully trust his judgement.

You’ll find your faves amongst the entrées, like Dolmathes, Keftethes, and Octapodi tis Skaras — though the octopus in this dish is served up with skordalia, beetroot, and walnut! The mains include Mousaka, Pastitsio, and Souvlaki

And, of course, you’ll find plenty of delicious desserts to top off your meal, including baklava rolled into a cigar and served in a glass with pistachio ice cream and Greek coffee soil.

Agapi is a cosy and intimate venue, seating just over thirty people indoors, with more room outdoors once the renovations are completed — most likely in time for some brighter, springtime weather.

The venue is open every day of the week, from 12pm to 10pm weekdays and 12pm to 11pm on weekends.

We’re ready to fall in agapi with Greek food all over again!

Check out the Facebook page here. You can find Agapi at 3/160 King William Road, Hyde Park.
