New Restaurant, Indii Flavours, Crafts Authentic Indian Dishes (And Has A Wine Room!)

The winner of best restaurant in Clare (for five consecutive years) is opening city-side!

Begone those nights where your takeaway curry arrives all soggy — there’s a new Indian restaurant on the block that will make you want to leave the house to get a taste.

Indii Flavours endeavours to deliver authentic Indian flavours and provides a dining experience that fuses contemporary cuisines with traditional roots.

Their journey began in Clare in 2013. Since then, Indii Flavours has been crowned the number one restaurant in Clare for five consecutive years running.

Head Chef, Rupesh, has learnt from previous generations before him. His father and grandfather were also renowned chefs, helping him master ancient style cooking techniques.

Taking inspiration from the past, all of Indii Flavours dishes are traditionally prepared and created in-house, using a homemade selection of hand-blended spices and the freshest produce gathered locally.

The menu is chock-full of dishes that will make your mouth water before you’ve even finished reading the first page.

You’ll find classic starters like samosas, as well as delicacies like buttered scallops.

If you’re after something familiar, the usual suspects, like Butter Chicken, Tikka Masala, and Rogan Josh curries, are all available — but there’s plenty more for your tastebuds to explore.

Dive into the smokey taste of charcoaled meats and indulge in fresh and local seafood dishes. There are also a number of vegetarian options if that is more to your liking.

Top your meal off with sides like cucumber raita, mixed pickles, and (most importantly) naan breads of assorted flavours!

Now, what meal would be complete without a perfectly matched drop?

The wine list took three months to curate and includes an incredibly extensive selection of boutique wines sourced from local regions, as well as a number of international wines.

The selection can transport you anywhere over the world depending on what you choose, from France to New Zealand, and Tuscany to Tasmania.

Fans of local wines can choose from pours from McLaren Vale, Barossa Valley, Clare Valley, or Coonawarra — you have never been more spoiled for choice!

Indii Flavour features a wine room specifically designed for patrons to step inside and be transported to a cellar door where they are spoiled for choice. Peruse the bottles lining the walls and select whatever your heart desires to match your meal.

You can also choose from an assortment of spirits or unique cocktails, or for something a little different, Indii Flavour stocks famous Indian whiskies and unique single malts imported from all corners of the globe.

Indii Flavours opens this Sunday, 22 December. They will be open Monday through Sunday from 12pm to 10pm, except for Christmas Day.

You can find Indii Flavours at 114 O’Connell Street, North Adelaide.
