As a quiet, suburban street, Trimmer Parade might be the last place you expect to find a sparkling brand new, modern Italian restaurant — but make sure you keep an eye out for La Maremma, a taste of Tuscany nestled in Adelaide’s west.

Maremma is a coastal area in the south of Tuscany, abundant with green hills, blue seas, long beaches and, of course, mouth-watering Tuscan cuisine, which is the inspiration for this new eatery.

Step inside the venue and be transported to central Italy. Mellow gold, earthy sage, fresh white and splashes of blue paint the interior, alongside a full wall feature depicting a tranquil Tuscan visage.

It’s a family friendly space, seating up to 60 patrons at both booth and bench seating, so there’s plenty of room to brings your friends.

La Maremma is the vision of two business partners, Salvatore Bruzzese and Joel Marino, bringing together Salvatore’s love of Tuscan flavours after living in Maremma for most of his life and Joel’s 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry, alongside a passion for good food, customer service and exceptional coffee.

As any self-respecting Italian restaurant should, the menu features a variety of Tuscan-inspired pasta and pizza. Star dishes include the house-made spinach and ricotta Tortelli with butter and sage and the ‘Pitigliano’ pizza, topped with tomato, fior di latte, ham and mushrooms.

Every pizza is hand rolled by Mauro, La Maremma’s pizzaiolo, who brings his experience and expertise from his home in Calabria, Italy to the new restaurant.

Both business partners and their families are from Seaton, giving La Maremma a distinctly local flavour. They hope to share their passion for Tuscan cuisine with the community, as well as the greater Adelaide community, so why not pop in and enjoy what the western suburbs have to offer?

La Maremma will have their soft launch this weekend, so if you’d like to show your support, head on over on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 from 5pm to late for pizza, coffee, sweets, beer, wine and home style hospitality.

After the soft open, regular hours will be Saturday & Sunday for brekkie from 8:30AM to 1:30PM, as well as dinner Wednesday through to Sunday from 5:30PM to late.

You can find La Maremma at 146 Trimmer Parade.
