New SA restaurant delivery service DoorDash launches, giving away 5000 burritos

SA locals will now have even more on-demand convenience at their fingertips, plus get a free feed when they sign up.

One of Australia’s leading last-mile logistics platforms, DoorDash, has today announced its arrival in Adelaide, marking the start of its state-wide expansion.

To celebrate its SA launch, DoorDash has teamed up with iconic Mexican restaurant, Zambrero, to offer 5,000 free burritos.

From today, locals can tap into an exclusive buy-one-get-one-free offer
available across all Zambrero locations in Adelaide, so Adelaide customers can double-down on their favourite burrito or give the freebie to a friend*.

Along with Zambrero, Nandos and McDonalds, DoorDash has partnered with hundreds of restaurants including local favourites like Pane E Latte in Broadview, Joe’s Henley Beach, Fine and Fettle in Stepney and Gunbae Chicken & Beer in the CBD.

DoorDash is focused on helping Adelaide restaurant owners drive demand to their eateries, while providing flexible and competitive earning opportunities for Dashers (drivers) and quality food selection
for locals across the city and beyond.

Discussing the company’s expansion, DoorDash Australia General Manager, Thomas Stephens, said “We’re excited to bring DoorDash to Adelaide and give our restaurant partners more opportunity to reach new customers. Upon launch we will be connecting thousands of people with the food they love from Woodcroft to Elizabeth, Henley Beach to Golden Grove”.

“Today’s launch is just the start of our pursuit to better serve Adelaide. Our restaurant-first approach drives us to prioritise building partnerships with local businesses to both support and empower their growth.

“Adelaide has so many great restaurants, and we will continue partnering with them to grow their sales and ensure that Adelaideans can always find their favourite brands on DoorDash. Additionally, we look forward to rolling out our white-label delivery solution, DoorDash Drive, to empower Adelaide’s restaurants to connect directly with their customers as well,” Stephens added.

Along with a wide selection of Adelaide’s most sought after eateries, DoorDash will be extending its unique ‘pick-up’ function, allowing users to collect their meals on the go at no extra cost, plus ‘group ordering’ which makes it easy for large groups to order together.
