Hardys Wines will be turning down the lights and bringing out the blindfolds for a unique tasting experience, ‘Tasting in the Dark’.

This sensory event is an exploration of how the five senses influence our experience of food and wine.

Journey deep into the darkness of Hardys private cellars, with their premium range of wines to engage your other senses at this interactive wine tasting experience.

Your host will guide you through a bespoke wine tasting and help you develop your knowledge to taste like a professional. The tasting will be accompanied by a ‘sensorial tasting platter’ with gourmet produce.

Explore the cellar door and take advantage of some exclusive pricing of your favourite wines on the night.

The experience will conclude with a rare ‘mystery wine’ sourced from the barrels surrounding the tasting guests. This wine will be matched with a chocolate tasting back at the cellar door to bring the evening to a sweet end.

Hardys Wines was established in 1878 by Thomas Hardy, who transformed an old flour mill on the main street of McLaren Vale into The Hardys Tintara winery. With his success, the township of McLaren Vale began to prosper and grow. Today, Hardys are proud to still call this winery home.

This experience is suitable for all levels and is about gaining a deeper understanding of wine, your own palate and elevating your senses.

You’ll walk away with deeper knowledge of wine and learn some sensory skills to take to your next dinner party.

Please note that this experience is for a minimum of two to a maximum of ten people.

Location: 202 Main Road, McLaren Vale, 5171 South Australia
