Introducing Dot Chocolate, your new one-stop-shop for all things sweet!
Opening this Saturday at 9am, this new dessert spot will simply make your mouth water.
On the menu is a mix of delicious chocolate treats, as well as some tasty baked goods.
Expect to be in sugary heaven with rocky road, stout cake with cream cheese icing, nut and seed Florentines, and salted caramel montes, which will surely be a popular pick.
The brain behind the business is founder Megan Charlton, who has a rich history as a successful chocolatier. She is armed with years of experience and a passion for baking all things sweet.
“I started Dot Chocolate four years ago and have been working from my home kitchen in Seacliff,” Megan tells us.
Prior to opening her first brick-and-mortar store, Megan supplied local cafes, gift shops and florists, as well as popping up in some local markets and catering for special events.
“My business got to a point last year where I had outgrown my little oven and needed a bigger space. I also missed seeing people!”
Having trained in the art of chocolate making both locally and internationally, Megan is passionate about using high quality products, working only with Belgian couverture chocolate and tries to use locally sourced goods where possible.
“I’ll be doing some beautiful gift baskets for Easter and Mothers Day coming soon,” shares Megan.
