Yesterday saw crazy scenes with historically unprecedented demand for tickets in the Taylor Swift The Eras Tour Australian presales. Four million people tried their luck, leaving many disappointed. But don’t worry Swifites, there’s been a big tour update that will make you smile.
We can confirm that TWO additional shows have been confirmed for the Australian leg of the highly anticipated tour.
The two new dates are the 18th of February in Melbourne and the 26th of February in Sydney (sorry Adelaideans, we still miss out).
The Australian dates of Taylor Swift The Eras Tour, presented by Crown and Frontier Touring, will kick off on 16 February 2024 in Melbourne and 23 February 2024 in Sydney with special guest artist, Sabrina Carpenter.
Notably Taylor Swift will be the first artist since Madonna (1993) to perform three concerts at the MCG and the first artist ever to perform four concerts at Accor Stadium.
The last time Taylor Swift toured Australia was in 2018 with her “Reputation Stadium Tour.” The highly acclaimed tour showcased her evolution as an artist, incorporating elaborate stage setups, mesmerising visuals, and captivating performances. Fans were treated to an immersive experience that brought her chart-topping hits to life, including “Bad Blood,” “Shake It Off,” and “Blank Space.”
The tour received widespread praise for its production value and Taylor Swift’s ability to connect with her audience on a personal level which is no doubt why Australian fans are vying for tickets!
Tickets for the newly added shows will go on sale on Friday along with the remaining tickets from the original shows. No further dates will be added for the Australian tour.
