New student-led music festival ‘AdeLOUD’ coming to Adelaide UniBar this Saturday

A new music festival, organised by university students, is coming this November, bringing a mix of international, interstate, and homegrown artists to the Adelaide UniBar.

A new music festival, AdeLOUD, organised by university students, is coming to the Adelaide UniBar this November. With a mix of international, interstate, and homegrown artists, it’s set to be an unapologetically raucous day, and one way to celebrate the university’s 150th birthday.

On Saturday November 16th from 4pm till late, AdeLOUD is offering an exciting mix of musicians and DJs will take the UniBar stage, including Genesis Owusu, Elsy Wameyo, JamesJamesJames, and In2stellar among others.

Whether you’re kicking it by the stage in the Cloisters or dancing in the boiler room-style party inside, prepare for 10 hours of non-stop music with a genre-diverse lineup curated by University alumnus and electronic music maestro, Motez.

As an ode to up-and-coming youth, this festival sees the university students taking charge of important organisational aspects such as stage design and artist curation. You’ll be able to stroll through student exhibitions and installations, showcasing the youth’s unique and progressive artwork. Plus, there will a selection of food trucks will be positioned on the UniBar lawns for that classical festival feed.

For most university students, November signals the end of exams and the beginning of their well-earned summer holidays. To celebrate this exciting, if not somewhat relieving time of year, AdeLOUD offers a unique and exciting festival experience for young people and students, while honouring one of Adelaide’s cornerstone heritage sites, the University of Adelaide. Countless memories have already been made at university, and countless more are waiting to unfold – starting with AdeLOUD, this November.

Tickets are $25 + booking fees for Adelaide University students, and $50 + booking fees for general admission.
