Getting exceedingly jealous of the people eating croissants in Paris on your Instagram feed?

Fear not, a European patisserie has opened and it’s sure to satisfy your sweet tooth. Moka European Patisserie  sits on Henley Beach Road and boasts a range of colourful pastries baked fresh daily, including macarons, gorgeous cakes, and delicate biscuits.

Moka is headed by Lauren Davis and Tony Manousakis. Davis studied at the esteemed Le Cordon Bleu Australia, and Manousakis is a long-time pastry chef who trained in Greece, France, and Italy.

“Everything is made on the premises,” Says Manousakis. “There will be something different on the menu each day.”

At the moment, Moka is concentrating on their sweet treats, but plans are in place for a light lunch menu, as well as some options for dinner.

Manousakis tells me we can expect spinach pies, leek pies, sausage rolls, feta filo, croissants, club sandwiches, and a tapas selection.

The patisserie opened last week and is the perfect place for a spot of morning tea or to collect some treats for after dinner (if you can wait that long).

You can keep up with Moka European Patisserie here.
