Cocktail lovers, get ready to ‘shake, rattle and roll’ because the Urban Cocktail Trail is making its way to Adelaide’s West End this September!
The Urban Cocktail Trail celebrates the art, craftsmanship and fun a beautifully made cocktail offers and eight West End bars have nominated a signature cocktail for ticket holders to enjoy.
The event is presented by Neighbourhood Events Co and founder Josh Starick says the event is a great opportunity for people to experience the different venues and their atmospheres.
“There are a huge amount of venues in not only Adelaide but also in the West End precinct that have been doing great things for a long time. The Urban Cocktail Trail is an opportunity for use to hero these venues on one afternoon, allowing the guests to discover hopefully a new favourite venue to head back to after the event is finished,” Josh says.
Before you make your way along the trail, the afternoon will begin at a venue for something to eat, then get ready for hours of cocktail-filled fun.
The Urban Cocktail Trail is a unique self-guided experience, giving you the freedom to ‘choose your own adventure’ and stop and sip wherever you desire.
“We like to let people create their own journey throughout the afternoon, it is an afternoon of fun, tasty drinks, great service and, of course, good company,” Josh says.
So, get your friends together and get ready to sip back and relax and enjoy some special cocktails at the venues below:
Bank Street Social, pouring a ‘Pulp Fiction Volume 2’ cocktail: with vanilla infused vodka, passionfruit, pineapple, lemon, orgeat and thyme shaken.
Clever Little Tailor, featuring an ‘Army and Navy’ cocktail: including gin and orgeat with lemon and bitters.
Electra house with a ‘Tangerine Gin Fizz’ cocktail: ambra tangelo, bombay sapphire, blood orange soda, fresh lime and rosemary.
Hains & Co pouring a ‘Gin and Juice’ cocktail: Never Never Triple Juniper Gin and Aperol with acidulated orange and grapefruit juice.
Leigh Street Luggage serving a ‘Blush and Spice’ cocktail: raspberry and thyme syrup, lemon, sugar, Braulio, Bacardi spiced rum and fresh smoked thyme.
Malt and Juniper with a ‘Grapefruit Sour’ cocktail: Laneway all day dry, acidified ruby red grapefruit juice, lime juice and grapefruit washed lychee liqueur and whites.
The Strathmore Hotel pouring a ‘Strawberry and Gin Spritz’ cocktail: Dasher and Fisher Strawberry Gin and Prosecco with fresh strawberries.
Udaberri serving a ‘Pineapple Julep’ cocktail: apple brandy, pineapple, mint, sugar and crushed ice.
“Variety is the spice of life, so for us it is important to provide a range of options to suit all tastes throughout the afternoon. It is an opportunity to get out and see multiple venues in one afternoon in a festival-type atmosphere,” Josh says.
“It is an opportunity for us to feature, work with, and showcase all the amazing work the venues are doing in the West End part of the city.”
“As a business, we are really passionate about supporting local businesses, and to support local businesses we like to shine a light on the great work they are doing and help encourage people to get out there and experience it for themselves, the Urban Cocktail Trail is just one of the ways we do that.”
