A beautiful new venue has opened in Victoria Park in place of what was formerly The Stables.
Exposed brick and fairy lights surround the airy space of Victoria Park Social Club, Rose Park’s newest catered venue and function space.
The space is open to the public for food and drinks on Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays if not booked for a private event on those days, and it operates mainly as a function space. In the past, they have held pizza, booze and antipasto picnics and paella nights, but they’re also equipped to host weddings, sit-down dinners or intimate cocktail events.
Every meal at the Victoria Park Social Club is cooked by La Dolce Vita catering, the guys who brought you Caribbean BBQ in the Hills and bring you delicious doughy pizzas and seafood platters on the regular, so it’s bound to be delicious!
“You can expect authentic Mediterranean inspired food, with a carefully selected local and imported wine list,” the venue says.
“We source locally, supporting SA growers and farmers, to bring the most premium produce to our plates.”
Housed in the stunning Heritage-Listed Bookmakers League Building in the Victoria Park Racecourse, the multi-purpose event space has a ceiling with exposed wooden beams, a wood fired pizza oven, and sleek wooden tables.
“The original building has been meticulously restored, paying tribute to its heritage, which exudes vintage charm and character,” Victoria Park Social Club says.
“A combination of historic features, modern amenities and beautiful landscapes make this a unique city setting like no other in Adelaide.”
The rebranded and refreshed site hopes that all guests of their gorgeous venue feel welcomed and right at home.
“In true social club style, Victoria Park Social Club is like an extension of your home, a place to relax, unwind and enjoy some of life’s great pleasures… pizza and vino.”
