Wedding and function venue, House on Haines, opens in Tea Tree Gully

A venue designed by Studio Nine Architects, is home to Tea Tree Gully. Perfect for weddings, birthdays, bridal showers, and more.

A brand new function centre, House on Haines, has just opened in Tea Tree Gully, adjacent to award-winning hotel and SA’s largest three-level beer garden, The Gully Public House & Gardens.

The truly gorgeous venue, designed by Architect and Interior Designer, Studio Nine Architects, will be perfect for weddings, birthdays, corporate events, PR brands showcases, bridal showers, christenings, Christmas events, and more.

“The intent was to create something new, that also sat within the context of the surrounding foothills,” said Studio Nine Architects Marketing Manager, Elise Rundell.

“Nestling into the landscape, the positioning of the new building was important, ensuring access to carparking, utilising surrounding landscape and maximising views out.”

House on Haines will be one of Adelaide’s newest wedding and events spaces, proudly owned by the RD Jones Group – responsible for many of SA’s favourites, including The Moseley Bar & Kitchen, The Woodcroft Hotel, The Bartley Hotel, and Mr Jones bar.

“This magnificent romantic setting being located close within the North-Eastern suburbs, fills a gap for customers looking for picturesque location, without the travel into the wine regions,” said Group Marketing Manager, Luciana Capobianco.

The existing stone wall became a key feature and centre piece of the development, picking only complementary metal sheeting, brick, and timber. Described as a “contemporary interpretation of a shed”, the structure boasts exposed trusses are made from reclaimed timber.

Built by Gilmore Constructions, the interior of the venue can host up to 120 guests seated or 200 guests standing. There are also options to hire half of the space internally, as the space divides with a wall through the middle. Guests can enjoy a two way fireplace internally and within the external courtyard, in addition to two fire pits on the grounds.

Stunning landscaped grounds also surround the venue, created by Easton Design Studio and Habitant Landscaping. The grounds feature stunning maple trees lining the wedding ceremony deck and magnolia trees line the terrace where undercover weddings are an option.

Designed in a way that the outdoor spaces can be an extension of the inside and vice versa, and building can fully open to maximise the space.

House on Haines is located at 1 Haines Road, Tea Tree Gully SA 5091.
