It’s one of the most exciting days of your life but can also be one of the most stressful. Planning a wedding is not for the faint of heart. From choosing a venue and flowers to dresses and table linen, and not to mention refining the guest list, it can be hard to know where to begin when it comes to planning your special day.
And that’s where the Ellington Wedding Expo comes in. The perfect solution for an overwhelmed couple, this one-day expo will help relieve the wedding-induced stress with a huge array of suppliers and vendors that you may need all under one roof.
Held at the beautiful and newly renovated Ellington Function Centre, you’ll not only be able to wander the many stalls and get some ideas flowing but you’ll also be able to meet the faces behind the brands and get to know those that will be contributing to your celebration.
The Ellington’s own Functions and Events Manager, Victoria Michi, encourages guests to do just this saying “One of the best parts of attending a wedding expo is meeting the vendors,” she says.
“Spending some time talking to each of them gives you a real feel for what they deliver and allows them to get a better understanding of you and what you want.”
Upon arrival, you’ll be treated to a glass of champagne to enjoy as you wander through the more than 15 stalls, as live acoustic music plays in the background – an ode to your big day.
At first thought, a dress and accessories seem like one of the most important elements of a wedding but as you get deeper into your planning, you realise it’s the little things that make the biggest impact. Things such as lighting and draping can make a huge difference in the vibe of your party, as well as the photos, so why not take the opportunity to talk directly to the wedding experts Amuse Lighting when you walk past?
Boutique creative agency, Creo Designs, will be there to guide you through the finicky task of selecting stationery, seating charts and table numbers.
Of course, you can then focus on the dress with Bridal Payneham happy to answer any and all of your questions before you move on to Jade Love Bake to talk all things cakes and Cheeni Adelaide for a personal touch to give out to your guests.
You will even be able to have your makeup trial done on the day with Bianca Audrey Hair and Make-up offering her services on the day. Bianca specialises in wedding beauty and this is a great opportunity to not only speak to her about your dream look but also get a first-hand look at her work.
The Ellington itself has been recognised as one of Adelaide’s premier wedding destinations and Victoria will be present on the day of the expo to personally assist you with any queries you have in regard to your upcoming nuptials.
So, before you say “I do” to your significant other, say “I do” to the Ellington Wedding Expo and take the stress out of tying the knot.
