We’ve found something else that will satisfy your Maccas cheeseburger craving – a cheeseburger pizza!
There have been a few interesting pizza combos throughout the years (remembering when the yiros pizza first came to be) but this is something that is sure to get the tastebuds tingling and it’s available at Croydon Park’s Westside Pizza Bar.
Having recently opened their doors in April last year, co-owners and best mates, Hisham Najjar and Hamed (Max) Gholami, wanted to bring extra flavour to the pizza scene.
With many pizza joints nestled amongst the suburbs of Adelaide, this one is definitely on our cards as they provide a fun, new take to the traditional concept.
Topped with Spanish onion, pickles, marinated cheeseburger meat, cheese and their famous burger sauce, their cheeseburger pizza is the highest selling item on the menu.
This legendary idea was sparked whilst Hisham was indulging in a greasy cheeseburger itself, when a customer said, “It doesn’t matter how upset you are, you always feel better when you have a cheeseburger”.
This was a light bulb moment for the pizza joint owner where he decided to combine his love for cheeseburgers with his passion of making pizza. And voila! The birth of the cheeseburger pizza was made.
AB and potato bake inspired pizzas are other experimental creations to look out for.
And if this doesn’t tickle your fancy there are plenty more to choose from including a variety of traditional and gourmet pizzas, pastas, schnitzels, salads and desserts.
So if the hamburger pizza doesn’t abide by your diet, at least you can justify your decision to buy it with the fact that Hisham, who has been making pizzas since he was 12-years-old, tells us that all of their ingredients are super fresh with no frozen produce.
