Chefs on Wheels is launching this Wednesday, March 25, and will feature a growing collection of dishes from some of Adelaide’s favourite restaurants, chefs, and food brands delivered directly to your home.
With yesterday’s Government announcement that all restaurants and cafes close in-house dining, many in the hospitality industry are turning to takeaway and delivery services.
Chefs on Wheels harnesses an idea – if Adelaide’s chefs can’t feed you in their restaurants, let them feed you in your home.
The chefs involved are three of Adelaide’s hospo heavyweights, including Paul Baker of Botanic Gardens Restaurant, Terry Intarakhamhaeng of Soi 38 and Emma McCaskill.
Each chef has put together a selection of fresh, ready-made meals to heat and enjoy. The meals can be kept in the refrigerator for seven days, and are suitable for freezing.
In terms of dishes on offer, think Truffled Caulifower, Broccoli & Mac from Paul Baker, Green Chicken Curry with Eggplant from Terry Intarakhamhaeng, and Handmade Adelaide Hills Mushroom and Chestnut Dumplings from Emma McCaskill, to name just a few.
The meals will be delivered by staff that would normally be serving you or working to manufacture products.
Most of the 400g meals are priced at $10, with 2kg options also on offer.
The service is also offering a range of pastas, sauces, and dishes from Allora Ravioli and Cooked.
