Newenham’s ‘Feel Good Friday’ Twilight Sessions Launch With Market Night

The first Feel Good Friday session features a variety of local businesses selling handmade treasures and delightful delicacies to help you wind down after a busy week!

The ‘Feel Good Friday’ Twilight Sessions are returning to Newenham Adelaide Hills, kicking off with Market Night on 7 February — this Friday!

Running on the first Friday of every month until April, the first ‘Feel Good Friday’ event will feature a variety of local businesses selling local and handmade treasures.

Expect to find vintage clothes from Little Miss Waste Not, quality candles from Chloe’s Candles, amazing garden sculptures from A Rustic World by Hayden, flower arrangements from Rose and Radish, natural body care from Hemp Hemp Hooray, and unique hand dyed clothing and accessories from Raven and Wren.

There will be live music throughout the night from Che Remedy, along with plenty of activities to keep the kids entertained.

Mount Barker’s award-winning not-for-profit organisation, Ink Pot Arts, will also perform a sneak peek of their new Fringe show “Jack & Jill and the Beanstalk – An Environmental Tale.”

Travel up the beanstalk, where the gluttonous giants are stripping it all with their claws and straws. It is up to Jack and Jill to set things right again, but what can two young people and their friends do? Brimming with colour and song, and with a cast of all ages, this theatrical adventure — a new South Australian work created by Gillian Britton, Jo-anne Sarre & the Ink Pot Arts creative team — promises lively fun for the whole family!

The event will also feature a range of tasty food from Wendy Jane, Two Fat Blokes Pizza, Hen’s Paella and WaffleStix, as well as local beverages from Prancing Pony Brewery, Ngeringa Wines, The Gin Gypsy and more.

Since December 2017, the family-friendly ‘Feel Good Friday’ Twilight Sessions have involved a range of fun activities for kids while offering a place for adults to relax and unwind on a Friday evening in the beautiful natural environment of Newenham.

Keep an eye out for the upcoming Feel Good Friday events, with arts and entertainment night on 6 March and the Easter celebrations event on 3 April.

“Feel Good Fridays are just one piece of what makes Newenham such a special place to live and grow with your family. They are a great way to start the weekend and shake off the stress of a busy week,” said Burke Urban’s Sales and Marketing Director, Olivia Burke.

“After the twilight session is over, the tree-lined streets guide our residents on a peaceful walk back home, keeping them surrounded by nature, while the local community can enjoy a leisurely two kilometre walk along the new Linear Park path back into the Mount Barker town centre.”

Newenham is a 150-hectare, 750 home, master-planned community developed by Burke Urban and will become home to some 2000 residents over the next 10 years.

The only master-planned development in the Adelaide Hills focussing on large blocks, with an average lot size of 734m2, this, alongside the premium location, the naturally beautiful environment and focus on timeless design, makes Newenham something truly special.

So if you’re looking for a great way to wind down after a busy week, head on over to Newenham Adelaide Hills, 164 Flaxley Road, Mount Barker from 5pm to 8pm for a feel good Friday.
