We recently noticed something interesting on Facebook. Something intriguing. Something that made us desperate for more. There was movement on the Facebook page of Villeta Porcini.

What is Villeta Porcini, you may be asking. The upcoming venture is headed by Masterchef alum, and renowned Adelaide restaurateur, André Ursini.

Ursini already runs popular local venues, Andre’s Cucina & Polenta Bar, and Orso. The former opened in 2009, and was Ursini’s first foray into the Adelaide restaurant scene. Since its opening, punters have flocked to the venue, eager for the fresh, seasonal Italian dishes. Orso launched late last year, and has been awarded a similar response. Elegant, warm, and inviting, Orso serves brunch, lunch and dinner. It also has an adjoining delicatessen, Willmott’s Gastronomia.

Villetta Porcini is an Italian name meaning tiny cottage of porcini. Described as a hidden dining experience in the Adelaide Hills, Ursini’s new venture promises a culture of food, nature, and experience.

Villetta Porcini is set to launch in Spring of this year. Stay tuned for details.
