The Nexus Multicultural Arts Centre is launching a World Music Series for 2013, presenting a season of dynamic and original music from around the globe and it is being held every Friday night from 10 May to 21 June at Nexus Cabaret.

Following the success of last years inaugural series, the 2013 program delivers a diverse and exciting series of performances by acclaimed artists from around Australia and the world.

“We were really humbled by the response to the 2012 world music series. The success of the inaugural season really demonstrated how much the Adelaide music scene has to offer. I’m constantly blown away by the depth, quality and diversity of the performers in this city and I’m really excited to share some of these wonderful artists through the Nexus World Music Series in 2013” said Nexus music program manager Ross McHenry.

The series will eature one of Adelaide contemporary music’s most significant figures, pianist and composer Mark Ferguson together with violin virtuoso Julian Ferraretto, along with other local acts include internationally acclaimed ensemble the Zephyr Quartet, The Bearded Gypsy Band,  Snooks LaVie and funk juggernaut Crump Cake Orchestra.
