The new home of Nice Pickles will open its doors this coming Friday for sales, so people can pop in and pick up some condiments.
Owner Robbie Mather and his team are in the midst of working towards the completion of a dedicated pickle haus on West Thebarton Road, as when Nice Pickles reached capacity in their former space, Robbie decided it was time to expand into a bigger area.
“For now, it will just be for production and of course there will be a shop front, but we have plans to hold workshops in the future and team up with some of the incredible producers in the area,” Robbie says.
Nice Pickles started as a side hustle for Robbie and it has grown into ‘a pretty big dill’ (excuse the pun). They have taken the pickling game to a whole new level with their wild, wacky, and downright delicious varieties.
Nice Pickles says they make pickles which are not like other pickles- so for those who remove the pickles from their burger, Nice Pickles might change your mind on this fermented vegetable.
With countless stockists Australia-wide and even a few internationally, the South Australian company continues to go from strength to strength with their crunchy, sweet and sour creations.

By “incredible producers in the area”, Robbie is of course referring to the numerous distilleries that have popped up in Adelaide’s West over the past few years, making it somewhat of a hotspot for enthusiasts.
“We’re hoping to team up and create some unique, pickled-inspired drinks like Bloody Marys and Dirty Martinis so punters can come and try something a bit different and support local at the same time,” Robbie says.
“If you’re a long-time fan of the brand, the shop is a great opportunity to meet the team behind the jars.”
And if you’ve never tried Nice Pickles pickles before, Robbie says it’s never too early to have a suss and find out what products tickle your fancy.
“We’re really excited to open the shop so people can pop in, pick up some condiments and have a chat, ask some questions and learn a bit about the process. Along with the condiments, we’ll have some special house pickles and ferments.”
