There have been no new cases of COVID-19 today, and a total of 566 cases notified in South Australia.
Effective from 12:01am 21 December, anyone who has been in the Northern Beaches Council LGA from 11 December is not permitted to enter SA.
Anyone who arrived in SA before 12:01am 21 December 2020, who has been in the Northern Beaches LGA, Cronulla, Lane Cove, Turramurra, Woolloomooloo, Lavender Bay or Penrith suburbs from 11 December 2020 is required to quarantine for 14 days since they were last in the area, and have a COVID-19 test on days one, five and 12.
From 12:01am 21 December, anyone entering SA who has been in the Greater Sydney Region from 11 December 2020, Wollongong LGA from 20 December 2020 or Central Coast LGA from 20 December 2020 is required to quarantine for a 14 day period in a suitable place, and have a COVID-19 test on days one, five and 12.
Self-quarantine must be undertaken at a suitable location where isolation from others can occur.
This requires complete separation from others in the household and if this is not possible, then alternative accommodation will need to be arranged.
This means that people in quarantine will not be able to spend Christmas with South Australian family and friends.
Anyone else already in or entering SA, who have been in all other areas of NSW (excluding the above) from 17 December 2020 will require a COVID-19 test on days one, five and 12.
These people are not required to quarantine while awaiting their test result, however they must monitor for symptoms, and self- isolate and seek another test if they begin to feel unwell at any stage.
