CPC Building 2 copyThousands of Northern suburbs commuters had a colourful change of roadside scenery in the last few months with a new multimillion dollar construction project in Prospect. The newly finished Commercial Painting Contractors building is now home to two Adelaide long-term small business success stories: Commercial Painting Contractors and Beverly May Hair.

This Friday, Prospect Mayor the Honorable David O’Loughlin will officially open the $2 million building on Main North Road at a fully catered outdoor soirée. The council certainly have something to smile about, the site which was unused for the last five years is now a hive of activity for both of the flourishing local businesses and adds significant street appeal.

At a time where many local small to medium construction and painting businesses in SA are closing their doors, CPC Director Steve McGrath says business is going strong.

He said: “I’m really excited that a small business like ours is able to invest in such a great part of Adelaide – we’ve certainly come a long way from the business that was started all those years ago in my home office.

“Economic times might be tough at the moment but we are celebrating 25 years of business in SA this year, and this is just the perfect way to recognise the milestone.”

With current projects including the Myer Centre, the South Australian Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI) & The Watson Hotel and Apartment development in Walkerville, Steve and his team of 25 painters are no strangers to projects that invest in our state’s future.
