Adelaide’s multi-award winning theatre company, No Strings Attached Theatre of Disability is ready to share some fabulous new works, in this their Silver Anniversary year.

For 25 years, No Strings has brought theatre-of-disability to a wider audience: discovering incredible talents that might otherwise have gone unnoticed; telling amazing stories; and entertaining audiences of all ages. Our people are the stars not just the support acts. Our performances deeply move audiences to the point where disability disappears.

We are one of the longest-lasting theatre companies of its kind, and continues to push boundaries, create outstanding theatre, and build bridges with the community both locally and internationally.  Last year saw the company invited to present at the inaugural True Colours Festival in Singapore.

ReConnect 2019 is the annual showcase event for No Strings where our performers demonstrate their amazing abilities. Come along and be inspired by all the new works that the No Strings performers have been co-creating in collaboration with: Artistic Director Alirio Zavarce, Artistic Associate Jermaine Hampton, together with Tyson Olson, Ashleigh Hauschild and Stephanie Cavallaro.

This year’s show includes Not All Who Wander Are Lost (as seen at Dream Big Festival family weekend & KYD-X Kids and Youth Disability Expo), The Portals, TV World and more.

No Strings creates original theatre through the unique perspectives of our artists and performers who live with disability. We produce locally, tour nationally and discover new talent in weekly workshops tailored to the individual needs of participants. We develop members’ skills in all areas of theatre production and produce work which raises awareness for and about people with disabilities.

No Strings has received a Ruby Award, the inaugural Graham F Smith Foundation Peace Award, several Fringe Festival Awards, and nominations for Green Room and Helpmann Awards.

“What you see is not only what you get, it’s what it is. Authentic in every way.” Peter Burdon, The Advertiser
