Having to leave your dog at home when you head out for dinner or drinks is bittersweet.
The dinner and drinks aspect is generally enjoyable. The leaving your dog behind aspect is never enjoyable. They look at you with such disappointment. Like, “Mum, why aren’t you wearing your pyjamas? Why aren’t you holding the corn chips? Why aren’t we snuggling on the couch watching Bachie Matt fret about his love life?”
Thankfully, the NOLA team has presented an answer to this dilemma with the announcement of Moon Dogorium’s Wonder Beerpourium. In other words, it’s a party celebrating dogs and beer.
The New Orleans inspired bar has teamed up with Melbourne based brewery Moon Dog to create a wonderland of beer, dogs, and several human/doggo friendly activities.
26 different Moon Dog beers will be available, including a one-off collaboration designed by NOLA co-owner Josh Talbot’s dog, Lottie.
Of course, guests are more than welcome to bring along their dogs (friendly and leashed), to enjoy a drink and partake in activities such as photography portraits (with your dog), ‘Pupp-Pupp’ Mini Golf, and puppy prizes. Expect live music, NOLA hotdogs, and a few surprises.
The event will also be raising money for SAHARA (formerly SA Dog Rescue) and we’re told some of the pooches looking for new homes will be in attendance.
When: Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 of September from midday.
Where: NOLA Adelaide, 28 Vardon Avenue.
