Gelato boards have become the latest platter to join Adelaide’s growing food board craze. From homemade pasta boards to breakfast boards, our city is eating up this popular trend (pun intended), and now those with a sweet tooth have another addition.

Cono Gelateria e Pasticceria has launched their winter menu, and gelato boards are a starring feature.

The $22 platter includes five scoops of gelato to share, and customers can choose any flavours available on the day. The Norwood spot makes all of their gelato fresh right in front of their guests, with popular options of pistachio, cafe, strawberry, and dark chocolate.

Launched on Friday, the new menu also has baked gelato cake (a layered cake with gelato and daquoise topped with meringue baked in the oven) and vegan and gluten-free pera cotta.

Owner and head chef Vince tells us the gelato caldo is the dish he’s most looking forward to.

“It gives a hot and cold feeling to the palate,” he says.

“I think it’s [the new menu’s] most exciting dish.”

The gelato board and other new eats are now available from Wednesdays to Sundays throughout the winter.
