To celebrate two years around the sun, Adelaide’s leading music publication, The Note, have recently announced their second annual Notestock festival, pencilled in for a night of Australian music talent on November 29th to close out SA Good Music Month.
Returning to UniBar for a celebration of bands, brews, boots ‘n’ bucking bulls, this all-ages mini-fest will be headlined by Victorian punk rockers Private Function and Adelaide icons West Thebarton. The first lineup is rounded off by local indie pop group The Tullamarines, as well as Rulla, Looch and Concrete Gold (QLD). The second lineup is set to be announced in the coming weeks.
In addition to the fantastic selection of artists, Notestock will feature a variety of market stalls, food trucks, and a prize-heavy raffle to be won with proceeds supporting Movember.
In only two years, The Note magazine has swiftly rose in popularity to become South Australia’s leading music-centric news source, offering digital and print media for music lovers and arts enthusiasts. As a major supporter of the local music scene, the team have platformed some of Adelaide’s brightest local acts, such as The Empty Threats, Aleksiah, and Coldwave. They’ve also written stories on generation-defying Australian artists like Missy Higgins, Ocean Alley, and Gang of Youths, as well as international sensations including Beck, Groove Armada, and The Last Dinner Party.
“The Note and Notestock are about celebrating live music, supporting our local community, and, of course, having a bit of fun along the way”, says director Olly Raggatt. “We’re stoked to be back for our second rodeo with some of Australia’s best live acts that truly embody what The Note stands for”.
Last year, the inaugural Notestock delivered an action-packed program headlined by Queensland rockers Beddy Rays and local favourites Druid Fluids, Molly Rocket, and The Shadow Ministers, with $2000 being raised by the raffle to support Movember.
This year, Notestock’s second rodeo is set to ignite the Adelaide UniBar once again with a jam-packed program of local and interstate talent, levelling up 2023’s entertainment with an exciting community-driven mini fest to put a bow on Good Music Month and celebrate their birthday in style.
