NOW OPEN: Cafe Mozzafiato is the latest brunch spot to join Kings Lane

After a successful opening, and a day of sold out free coffee, it’s fair to say Cafe Mozzafiato is Adelaide’s newest hit coffee and brunch spot.

After a tremendously successful opening, and a day of sold out free coffee, it’s fair to say Cafe Mozzafiato is Adelaide’s newest hit coffee and brunch spot. The cafe joins an exciting host of eateries and retailers in Kings Lane, part of the brand new award winning 60 King William development.

Speaking about the cafe’s free coffee day, Hong Che, the cafe’s owner says: “We were super busy! We sold nearly 600 coffees and sold out by 12 o’clock.”

“It was so successful we will probably do it again another time,” Che says.

Che said the cafe was proud to be using “Vittoria Lab Release Blend No. 58 coffee beans which have a nice balanced flavour.”

Cafe Mozzafiato will serve “brunch, lunch and specialise in coffee and fresh juice smoothies.” Some flavoursome menu highlights are the “fruit salad, chia pudding, fresh pastries, sandwiches and really nice salads.”

Che also wanted to emphasise a community and family focus, with something for everyone, including a range of kids meals available. A tasty menu highlight that’s just been added is the succulent chicken sandwich, which you can order with a bowl of sweet potato shoestring fries on the side.

Hong Che and husband Haijun Pan’s hospitality journey began over a decade ago with Cafe One in Adelaide’s old Southern Cross Arcade, now the location of Kings Lane. Che reflected about the irony of returning to “almost exactly the same spot”, but was over the moon about Mozzafiato opening up in the bustling new hub that is Kings Lane.

After Cafe One’s extensive run, the pair began operating Mozzafiato alongside Metropolitan Fresh in North Adelaide Village, while also managing asian grocer, Litchi in Westfield Tea Tree Plaza. Che had a little chuckle when asked how they fit all of that on their plates.

It was an opportune move that saw Cafe Mozzafiato move from its home in North Adelaide Village, the cafe catering to a whole new set of cafe goers with an appetite for delicious fresh food and drinks in a lively CBD hub.

Look out for Cafe Mozzafiato’s delicious fresh brunch and lunch options and keep your eyes peeled on the off chance there’s another free coffee day in the near future!
