Golden Boy has well and truly established itself as a crowd favourite. The contemporary Thai eatery has picked up multiple awards since its opening and is famed for its large menu designed for sharing. With tables at the restaurant in high demand, and dining having spilled to Botanic Bar, the restaurant has opened a basement bar for punters to enjoy pre (and post) dinner drinks.
The new cellar space is reminiscent of an underground, Japanese-influenced bar. Boasting plush booths, brass, and a navy carpeted floor, punters will be treated to Golden Boy’s entire drinks list, which includes many local South Australian gems. The space is also home to a private dining room which seats 12-18 people and can be booked for an entire night.
Golden Boy told us they didn’t want to open the new bar with a big bang, instead preferring to offer the new space to diners as they come into the restaurant.
