FIRST LOOK: Louis Vuitton unveils exclusive pop-up in Adelaide’s CBD

The Louis Vuitton pop-up has officially opened its doors at the Adelaide Central Plaza for a limited time only.

Finally a week after the announcement that luxury designer label Louis Vuitton will be popping up in Adelaide, it’s officially opened its doors.

Today is the first day of the exclusive pop-up at the Adelaide Central Plaza which is owned by Precision, where other luxury labels like Tiffany & Co. and TAG Heuer live, and it will be open be open until December 28th.

While there’s already various stores throughout Australia including Melbourne and Sydney as well as the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Perth, this is the first time the label has opened a store to the South Australian public. It will no doubt attract stylish South Aussies and is set to be a popular retail destination, with very few designer labels setting up shop here.

“Along with our luxury group of retailers [at Adelaide Central Plaza], we are investing $125 million dollars over the next 3 years to create the first dedicated luxury shopping precinct in Adelaide’s CBD,” Precision Group founder, CEO and Managing Director, Shaun Bonett says.

“A dedicated luxury precinct in Rundle Mall will enhance Adelaide’s reputation nationally and internationally, attract major investment, and continue the significant commercial development in the Adelaide CBD that has been going on in the last several years,” Bonett says.

Rundle Mall continues to be Adelaide’s premier shopping, dining and entertainment precinct, featuring global brands and local favourites, with over 1,000 retail stores, casual to fine dining and a vast array of cultural experiences, attracting 42 million visitors annually.

It’s been sixteen decades since Louis Vuitton was founded and is now one of the most recognised fashion houses in the world. It’s known for high-end leather goods, legendary steamer trunks, iconic monogram handbags, sublime watches and jewellery and cutting edge fashion.

Louis Vuitton was a French designer and skilled craftsman who established his eponymous brand in Paris. At age 33 he opened his own artisanal workshop at 4 Rue Neuve-des-Capucines, and there’s now five and a half thousand Louis Vuitton stores around the world.

The fashion house is popular with a number of celebrities including Madonna, Rihanna, Paris Hilton, Elle Fanning and more. Australian actress Cate Blanchett was also spotted at the Louis Vuitton Womenswear Spring/Summer 2024 Paris Fashion Week show, where she was dressed by the French label.
