A staple of the Clare Valley region, the much-loved Reillys Wines has opened their second cellar door, in the Barossa Valley.

For decades Reillys Wines Mintaro Cellar Door has been a must-visit in the Clare Valley. Now it’s the Barossa’s turn, with the dynamic couple Justin and Julie Ardill launching their Greenock location, Reillys Wines II.

“(The vibe is) the same but different to our Clare Valley cellar door,” owner Julie explains. “There is no B&B, no big restaurant- it’s really all about the wine.”

Making wine from the Barossa Valley is not new to Reillys Wines but previously it was mainly exported. Julie Ardill explains the opening of the cellar door in Greenock was more of a “going public” with their Barossa Valley wines.

“My husband Justin started experimenting with different fruit from different regions back in 2019. He wanted to see and highlight the differences between what the regions had to offer. We are the new kids on the block, and we don’t want to step on any toes. We have been given a warm welcome since we opened.”

This next venture is an exciting addition to the Greenock region. Opening to the public on Easter Saturday, just in time for this week’s Barossa Vintage Festival. The cellar door is open and in full swing, now taking bookings.

On the tasting menu is their Moppa and Greenock drops and of course an accompanying cheeseboard is available to add on. Some of their Clare Valley wines are available on their tasting list, but they will not be for sale. There is a $15 tasting voucher to pick up with every over $40 sale

Located at 17 Murray Street, Reillys Wines II looks to be another must-visit cellar door to visit while touring the region.
