NOW OPEN: The Humble Sando are making boujee sandwiches by the beach

The Humble Sando in Grange has a passion for creating delicious sandwiches and brewing specialty coffee for the community.

The newly opened Humble Sando at Grange is taking the phrase “let’s grab a quick bite to eat” to the next level with their delicious take-away goods.

They’re a mission to serve up speciality coffee and fresh sandos which don’t leave you feeling sluggish, challenging the stereotypical take-away sandwich shop.

Set in a beautiful terracotta coloured fit-out which feels like a quaint haven, The Humbo Sando are dishing out their quality produce and sandwiches which they’ll be making fresh on site once they launch the full menu later this week.

“It’s a pretty simple idea. We just want to focus on really good coffee and homestyle sandwiches that take you back to the classics,” Owner Sam Ambrose says.

He admits the key ingredient to making their sandwiches unlike any others is the artisan sourdough from local baker, Sonyarella.

“We’ve always loved her bread and knew it would make really nice sandwiches and that’s where the idea for The Humble Sando really came from,” Sam says.

“It’s so fresh and delicious and we found that you don’t feel like slipping into a food coma after eating it.”

Typically, a sando is classified as a soft, crustless white bread sandwich which is filled with unusual breaded fried meat and various sweet, hot or pickled condiments. But at The Humble Sando, there’s so much more to choose from.

There will be many fresh and delicious fillings from the classics like ham and turkey and pastrami which they’ll shave fresh on site, to smoked chicken which they’ll be smoking themselves. There will also be toasties, pastries and other goodies on offer.

They’re also pouring South Australian Dawn Patrol Coffee which aims for 100% traceability as they want you to know exactly where the beans come from and who grows them. They buy, roast and deliver delicious coffee sourced from some of the best coffee growers in the world.

The Humble Sando takes their passion for local businesses and the community seriously and want their shop to champion that.

“We just love Grange because it feels so local and friendly, which is the vibe we’re going for. The community here is great and it’s such a stunning location,” Sam says.

“While we have a couple of seats in the shop, it’s mainly grab and go which will will be great because the beach is just across the road.”
