For two years, Uniqorn Eats has been bringing colour and fun to the CBD and now, the eclectic eatery is expanding with a brand-new cafe now open in Glenelg.
The second location is bigger, brighter and more accessible with owners Nick Millgan and Nakita Cattonar wanting to a create a more inclusive environment.
“It’s about three times the size of our city venue, and no more stairs so it will be a lot more accessible,” says Nick.
“Picture the same stuff but times ten,” he says. “We’re going to have pink, sparkly Uniqorn beer on tap, as well as candy-inspired cocktails and they won’t all be super sweet and we’ll also have a Hubba Bubba Sour.”
With its rainbow-themed menu, Uniqorn Eats has made a splash on social media with people travelling far and wide to get a shot of the infamous ‘Rainbow Toastie’ and lolly-loaded pancakes.
The Glenelg menu has a range of gluten-free and vegan options meaning no one has to miss out on tasting the rainbow and in celebration of its opening, a new candy-themed cocktail menu has been created! The masters have turned all your favourite candies into delicious drinks!
Listed as one of 10 things to do before turning 10 in Adelaide by Australian Traveller magazine, the café has quickly become turned itself into a destination dining spot.
“When we were deciding where to open the next location, we thought that since Glenelg is also a major tourist destination, that it would be a great place to be,” says Nick.
Nick and Nakita alos work closely with Minus 18 – an LGBTQIA+ charity that aim to improve the lives of LGBTQIA+ youth by creating spaces where they can make friends and be celebrated as well as strongly advocating against discrimination through training and campaigns.
