A mouth-watering combination of pistachios, walnuts melted butter and thin sheets of phyllo dough make up the layered Turkish dessert, held together with just the right amount of syrup.

Attributing their authentic taste to the crispness of their baklava, the team at Siyez Catering using a traditional recipe from south east Turkey, and headed up by qualified Turkish chef Dursn Alpan, who has been perfecting the intricate art of baklava for the last three years. 

Chef Dursun prides himself on sticking to traditional Turkish recipes for his baklava, foregoing any rosewater or honey to reduce the baklava’s sugar level making it that perfect level of crispy. 

Constantly honing his baklava craft, Chef Dursun has a host of different baklava flavours in the works with lucky wife Gulsum acting as chief Taste Tester for his new, inventive baklava flavours.
