After nearly two decades away, British rock icons Oasis have finally revealed the Australian segment of their highly anticipated 2025 world tour, dubbed ‘OASIS LIVE ’25’. The tour marks an immense milestone for the band, featuring stops in major cities worldwide. Oasis will grace the stages of Marvel Stadium in Melbourne on the 31st of October and Sydney’s Accor Stadium on the 7th of November. Adelaide fans will need to adventure interstate if they want to be a part of the action.
The announcement signals a significant return for the band to Australian shores, 19 years after their last performance in the country. In a statement for the fans, Oasis shared a playful warning saying, “People of the land down under. You better run, you better take cover.. We are coming. You are most welcome.”
The resurgence of Oasis also comes on the heels of monumental successes. The kick-off of the ‘OASIS LIVE ’25’ tour has already seen a phenomenal response with sold-out shows across the UK and Ireland. Their launch became a historic occasion, seeing one of the largest concert ticket demands, with over 10 million fans from 158 countries attempting to secure tickets.
This surge in popularity was coupled with a significant musical triumph. Oasis recently celebrated their eighth UK No. 1 album with a reissue of their debut album, ‘Definitely Maybe’, in honour of its 30th anniversary. The album’s resurgence on the charts also saw it occupy two other spots in the top 5 of the UK albums chart at the same time.
Oasis’ ability to pull significant streaming numbers highlights their ongoing relevance in the digital age. With over 27 million monthly listeners on Spotify and nearly 12.5 billion streams across various platforms, their music continues to resonate with fans around the globe.
The demand for the ‘OASIS LIVE ’25’ tour mirrors this enduring appeal. Following the immediate sell-out of their initial dates, more shows were swiftly added and sold, which included notable venues such as Wembley Stadium in London and Heaton Park in Manchester. The North American leg of the tour mirrored this high demand, with tickets for all dates being snapped up within an hour of their release.
Ticket sales for the Australian dates are set to start soon, with presale registration currently open until 8am AEDT (7:30am Adelaide time) on Wednesday, October 9th. General public sales will commence shortly after, with tickets for the Melbourne show available from 10am AEDT v(9:30am Adelaide time) on Tuesday, October 15th, and the Sydney show tickets from 12pm AEDT (11:30am Adelaide time) on the same day.
