OH La La! The Alliance Française French Film Festival Returns for 2022

Once again the Alliance Française French Film Festival delivers a brilliantly curated selection of Francophone films, including school screenings and special events

Beginning with tomorrow night’s gala opening, the 2022 Alliance Française French Film Festival is set to deliver another bumper crop of French and Francophone cinematic delights.

This year’s festival includes categories such as Riotous French Wit, Cannes Highlights, Paris: Past Perfect, Love: it’s Magnetic; and We are Women. There is also once again an excellent selection of films for children and school groups.

Opening night consists of a screening of Lost Illusions, along with a glass of champagne, a food box and a gift bag on arrival. Special screenings with drinks on arrival include Farewell, Mr Haffman, The Kitchen Brigade, and Goliath. Closing night is a special screening of Fly Me Away.

Many of the French stars and directors we have come to love are represented in this year’s selection of works, including: Gerard Depardieu; Cécile de France; Joey Starr; Fanny Ardant; François Ozon; and Patrice Leconte.

Films are showing at Palace Nova Cinemas Eastend and Prospect, although most special screenings are only at Eastend.
