Oktoberfest Heads To The Beach This Month

Don’t worry, you won’t get too much sand in your Lederhosen…

The Stamford Grand is taking ‘Oktoberfest To The Bay’ this year and not straying from tradition despite the fact that the vast majority of German’s in fact sunbathe around lakes instead of the beach (true story, despite having 2300km of coastline it’s not close to many major cities). That said, this isn’t about sunbathing, it’s all about the beer. And possibly Dirndls and Lederhosen, which of course everyone in Adelaide has because everyone has been to at least one Oktoberfest event in their life… haven’t they?

Well, if you haven’t here’s a chance to avoid the CBD swill (let’s be honest, it is, not that there’s anything wrong with that for some people) and raise a glorious Stein on October 29th to the 30th to Glenelg. Stuff your faces with lip-smacking pretzels, Bavarian hot dogs and traditional potato dumplings until your stomach is bursting. And to work it all off get ready to stomp, clap and slap your feet with traditional German entertainment and dancing all day long.

Tickets are $49, which include your Stein, the first fill free and you can make this a family day with everyone under 17 free (you know, because what are teenagers actually going to do there!) There will be entertainment for kids on hand as well, so all are welcome, and by that stage we should expect some sunshine to enjoy as well!

Don’t miss out – grab your tickets online here today.
