Olympic Hero Kyle Chalmers Set To Race In Adelaide Alongside World Champs

Olympic gold medalist Kyle Chalmers is set to race in Adelaide this month.

Hometown hero and Olympic gold medallist Kyle Chalmers along with fellow members of the Australian Dolphins Swim Team will return to racing at the 2017 Hancock Prospecting Australian Short Course Swimming Championships in Adelaide this October.

You won’t want to miss your chance to see the best swimmers from across Australia swim LIVE from Thursday October 26 to Saturday October 28 at the SA Aquatic and Leisure Centre. Tickets on sale now.

Short Course will also see the return of Centre Lane, a food and entertainment precinct which had fans raving at the Hancock Prospecting Australian Championships in Brisbane. Adelaide’s finest food trucks, beverages and coffee will be on offer, so too will the COON Cheese Toastie truck together with plenty of activity for adults and kids to kick back and relax during the sessions.

Fresh off the back of the FINA World Championships in Budapest, gold medallist Emily Seebohm, six-time medallist Emma McKeon and silver medallist Mack Horton will line up behind the blocks for a shot at a national short course title and bragging rights heading into a busy swimming season in 2018.

After taking the year off to re-focus and refresh, former short course world record holder and current Australian record holder Cate Campbell will join her teammates alongside sister Bronte; so expect some fast times in the women’s sprint events.

You will also get the chance to see your favourite Para swimmers as names like Monique Murphy and Matt Levy dive back in the water after just returning from the World Championships in Mexico. With heats from 11:00am and finals from 7:00pm (SA time), this will be one of the last opportunities to see the Dolphins swim live before they race for selection for the Commonwealth Games Team in February next year, so hurry, get your tickets now.

Tickets start from $7.50 for heats, with Kids, Adults, Family and Season Passes available online here now.
