Officially opened on November 4th, the Wine Room is a haven for those who appreciate the artistry of boutique winemaking. Here, you’ll discover the exceptional wines of four local legends: Marty Edwards of Silver Lining, Neil Jericho of Jericho, Andrew Miller of Artis, and Turon White of Turon. These are winemakers who are passionate about their craft, dedicated to quality, and perhaps a tad too busy crafting incredible wines to have their own cellar doors. Thankfully, Ondeen has stepped in to showcase their talents.
Think classic Chardonnay and Pinot Noir done with finesse, alongside exciting small-batch gems like Gamay. It’s a curated collection that captures the essence of the Adelaide Hills terroir, and with Wine Room Manager Agnes Wyszomirska at the helm, you’re in expert hands. Agnes, winner of the Chanticleer Award for Best Cellar Door Person at the 2021 Adelaide Hills Wine Show, brings a wealth of knowledge and infectious enthusiasm to every tasting. She’ll guide you through the nuances of each wine, sharing insights into the winemakers’ philosophies and the unique characteristics of the region.
But the Wine Room is more than just a place to sip and swirl. Designed with a relaxed, living room vibe, it’s an invitation to linger. Gather around the long communal table, share stories, and soak up the atmosphere. And who knows, you might even bump into one of the winemakers themselves!
To celebrate the launch of the Wine Room, Ondeen has also extended its trading hours. Now open seven days a week from 10am to 6pm, and until 9pm every Friday, there’s even more opportunity to indulge in their delicious offerings.
