One Magic Bowl at Port Willunga

This Sunday Port Willunga will be transformed into a Magic Bowl that will challenge and celebrate the senses for 1000 guests, who will absorb the views, live music and projections off the cliffs, whilst being treated to dishes from local chefs. The event will be hosted by author and restaurateur Gay Bilson.

Guests have paid $30.00, which they will exchange for a hand crafted ceramic bowl from the Jam Factory.  Throughout the course of the evening the guests will be experiencing as much local produce as possible, as each of the chefs serve their version of a fish dish and French Bourride, to a Chinese Chicken and Abalone Congee.

Bilson and her team of chefs include Nigel Rich (D’Arry’s Verandah), David Swain (Fino), Billy Dohnt (Salopian Inn), Ben Sommariva (Penny’s Hill Winery & Kitchen Door), Emma Baxter and Russel Jeavons (Russell’s Pizza), Rebecca Stubs(The Retreat Chapel Hill Winery), Kerryn Oates (Hoffman Winery’s The Currant Shed), Salvatore Pepe (Cibo Espresso), Glen Worrell (The Victory Hotel), Cheong Liew (The Grange Restaurant) and Sumptous Magazine Geneviene Harris.

The enticing new program of films and documentaries are a part of Appetite, which celebrates and challenges the taste buds.  One Magic Bowl is sponsored by Big Pond Film Festival (BAFF), the South Australian Tourism Commission (SATC) and the City of Onkaparinga.
