The Taxpayer in Victoria Square is now open for breakfast and Glam Adelaide was invited along to enjoy the experience.

Incorporating their ‘Burger and Booze’ bar identity into the brekky menu, there are two burgers on offer, delivered with a breakfast twist.

The Brioche roll with crisp pancetta, fried egg and tomato relish, was voted the staff’s favourite option on the menu. It was fresh, flavoursome, and light enough to eat for a breakfast occasion. The toasted panini bread with guacamole, salsa, and poached egg is a vegetarian option that was also light to eat and didn’t leave you feeling heavy.

There are healthier options, with Bircher muesli and smoothies of the day. Glam girls tried berry and yoghurt which was full of flavour with no added sugars. The smoothie was given to us on our arrival, as well as coffee. Their coffee is from Columbia and India, which has been roasted in Adelaide especially for the Taxpayer’s customers. We learnt that the beans cannot be roasted too much as they will taste bitter, and they cannot be underdone as it will taste acidic. Their coffee was made for perfection.

The Taxpayer also caters for customers who need a takeaway coffee, offering an indulgent of daily market inspired options; cookies, muffins and pastries. This will make it easier for ‘on the go’ workers that need a quick breakfast.

You can try it for yourself at the Taxpayer in Victoria Square from Monday to Friday, 7am -11am.
