One of Adelaide’s most popular new restaurants, Sean’s Kitchen, opened and owned by world renowned Chef Sean Connolly, will be cutting the cake this Tuesday 20 October at 1pm to celebrate their First Birthday!
Having had over 50,000 diners walk through the door of Sean’s Kitchen since its opening in October 2014, 20,000 serves of Mac and Cheese, 1,000 large party celebrations, Orgy’s of Mushrooms, copious Coffin Bay Oysters and litres of SA’s finest wines, there certainly is a lot to celebrate.
“What I have really enjoyed about Sean’s Kitchen, is getting to know the local South Australian producers,” said Sean.
“Yes it was great fun decking out the restaurant, training up the culinary team and teaching the front of house guys about the food, but there is some seriously amazing product in SA, and we have been having some real fun with it” …
“The mussels from Port Lincoln, the oysters from Coffin Bay, pork from Mount Barker and chicken from the Barossa was just the beginning.
“We have really benefitted from the hordes swarming past us to get to Adelaide Oval, but we are also benefitting from the lift in conventions next door, and we serve heaps of pre theatre diners from the Festival Centre. The whole area is alive and the great thing is people keep on coming back,“ stated Connolly.
The excitement in the kitchen has been brewing, as Sean Connolly has been working with the SK culinary team on his new Summer season menu along with the First Birthday celebrations.
“My new menu has some fresh Summer dishes in a classic New York style, I love the Crab Salad.”
Aaron Morrison General Manager of Adelaide Casino says, “We have been delighted with the way that Adelaide has embraced Sean’s Kitchen over the last year, and we are really proud of the whole team’s achievements.
“Adelaide is full of great restaurants and bars and has really entered the World Stage as far as culinary offerings and dining experiences. We attract thousands of international and interstate visitors per year to Adelaide Casino and comments they have been making about the changes in Adelaide are very encouraging”
VIPs that have dined in Sean’s Kitchen include Premier Jay Wetherill, Rock Star Jimmy Barnes, TV Personality Kerri-Anne Kennerley, Singer-Songwriter Ed Sheeran, Philanthropist Heloise Waislitz, former Prime Minister Julia Gillard, Australian Cricketer David Warner, The Footy Show stars Sam Newman and James Brayshaw, Sir Barry Humphries, and those from the world of gastronomy including Pete Evans and Manu Feildel, Maggie Beer, Cheong Liew, Iron Chef Sakai, Jeffrey Tan, Hong Kong Michelin Star Chef Alvin Leung, Pierrick Boyer, Matt Preston, David Koch, John Jarrett, Anthony LaPaglia, Drake, Jessica Mauboy and more.
