A Barossa must-visit, Two Hands Wines has been awarded fourth place in the 2023 Halliday Wine Companion Awards in the People’s Choice category for Best Winery Experience.
Among 700 local and national contenders, wine lovers lodged thousands of votes to crown their favourite wineries for their overall cellar door experience, range of wines and customer service.
Born from a conversation between friends Michael Twelftree and Richard Mintz in the late 1990’s, Two Hands Wines specialises in Shiraz-based wines which highlight fruits from South Australia’s most prominent growing regions.
With a background in marketing Australian wines to the US market, Michael and his now co-owner Pierre-Henri, have created an impressive range of bold, classic, and contemporary reds to suit a range of tastes.
“I have walked every vineyard, made every picking decision and tasted every individual barrel of each wine we’ve ever produced,” said Michael.
“I can’t imagine there are too many winery owners around the world that take the pursuit of quality that personally.”
It’s this dogged pursuit that continues to earn them praise from industry experts and wine lovers alike – with a range of unique experiences that allow the consumer to really get to know the brand and the Barossa Valley region.
