‘Op Till You Drop’ market returns to Adelaide with major bargains, pre-loved fashion & vintage finds

Op Till You Drop Community Market is back this April, bringing South Australia’s best op-shops and vintage resellers together for a day of sustainable shopping in Port Adelaide.

Adelaide bargain hunters and vintage lovers, this one’s for you. Life FM is bringing back its popular Op Till You Drop Community Market, which brings together some of South Australia’s most popular op-shops and sustainable resellers for the ultimate second-hand shopping experience.

Returning on Saturday, April 18th, the event will take over Hart’s Mill Flour Shed in Port Adelaide from 10am to 3pm. Attendees will be able to browse through racks of pre-loved fashion, unique vintage finds, and unbeatable bargains, all while supporting local charities and community initiatives.

Born from a want to bring people together for a good cause, the market is supporting the financial needs of charities that help thousands each year. It also raises funds for Life FM, a listener-supported community radio station known for sharing uplifting and positive content across Adelaide.

“Life FM is a community-funded station on a mission to spread hope throughout Adelaide,” shared Life FM Operations and Fundraising Manager Lorrene McClymont. “We’re proud to be involved in a range of community projects and partnerships year-round, including initiatives like Life FM’s Lunchbox Legends and Buddy Blankets campaigns.”

The family-friendly event has plenty on offer alongside the shopping. Visitors can enjoy food and coffee, live local music, and a dedicated kids’ play area featuring face painting and a Kinder Gym SA installation, making it an affordable and entertaining day out for all ages.

“Our team is deeply passionate about reaching those who may be struggling, offering encouragement, and providing a fresh, uplifting perspective through everything we do,” said Lorrene.

The first Op Till You Drop Community Market in 2025 saw around 3,000 attendees walk through the doors despite severe winter weather, and organisers are expecting another strong turnout this year. With the rising cost of living and a growing focus on sustainability, the event offers a timely opportunity for locals to save money while making environmentally conscious choices.

“With the rising cost of living and a growing interest in sustainability, recycling, and making every dollar go further, we wanted to create a space that makes thrifting and vintage purchasing more accessible and fun,” Lorrene said.

A standout lineup of community op-shops will be on site, including Vinnies, Red Cross, Elcies, Worn Again, Second Chances SA, Treasured Op Shop, Nu4U Op Shop, St Paul’s Anglican Church Op Shop and Henley Op Shop. Shoppers can also browse curated collections from second-hand resellers like Sought After Seconds, Rebels Relix Wear-Haus and Little Chicken’s Vintage.

Entry is by gold coin donation, making sure every purchase contributes to a worthy cause. So if you’re on the hunt for something to spice up your winter wardrobe, something for the house, or simply looking for a feel-good day out, this community market is one you won’t want to miss!
