It’s finally strawberry season which means Green Valley Strawberries has opened its farm gate once again.
This year, in fact, this week, the strawberry farm has opened the newest iteration of its accompanying Green Valley Strawberries Café.
Sisters Christie and Steph Rozaklis started the café after finishing school. The strawberry farm is owned by the girls’ parents, so it seemed only fitting for Christie and Steph to step in.
“We started quite small but season by season we are getting busier and busier,” says Steph. “We’ve expanded the café three times.”
Steph tells us the property is large and beautiful, with the café boasting views of the dam.
The café serves house made waffles, pancakes, scones, and, unsurprisingly, strawberry milkshakes. Light meals and in-house sweet treats are also available.
Of course, visitors can also buy fresh berries, picked and packed daily, from the strawberry farm.
The café is open Wednesday – Sunday during the strawberry season, which lasts from October until May.
