Business SA 2010 Women of the World Luncheon

Maggie BeerBusiness SA invite you to join them for their last 2010 WOW luncheon celebrating women in food and wine. This event will host three prominent South Australian business women who will discuss their successful and diverse careers.

Their panel of leading ladies include:

Maggie Beer
Born and raised in Sydney, Maggie moved to the beautiful Barossa Valley in 1973 where she established the legendary Pheasant Farm Restaurant. Maggie’s career covers farming, food production, exporting, food writing and television presenting and is the South Australian ambassador for the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation.

Victoria McClurg
First trained as a winemaker, Victoria spent a season making wine in Bordeaux, absorbing the region’s way of life. As she mused over a glass of wine, accompanied by an array of handmade cheese, Victoria realised what she really wanted to do. Her course was set – she learned the art of cheese making and from this, the Barossa Valley Cheese Company was born.

Carol Riebke
Growing up on her family vineyard near Angaston in the Barossa Valley, Carol has always had a passion for winemaking. Graduating from the University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Science (Oenology) in 2004, Carol joined Craneford Wines as assistant winemaker that same year and in 2006 was appointed senior winemaker.
