Cellar Door Fest is returning with a host of new additions

Cellar Door Fest is returning to the Adelaide Convention Centre in February and bringing with it some of SA’s best food, wine and spirits for three days of gourmet fun.

In another big win for festival lovers, Cellar Door Fest (CDF) – Adelaide’s favourite food and drink festival –  is back.

The festival, now in its 11th year, is returning to the Adelaide Convention Centre, from February 5 to 7, bringing with it some of SA’s best food, wine and spirits for three days of gourmet fun.

Due to COVID restrictions, the 2021 festival is going to look a little different, with strictly limited tickets and a range of COVID safe measures, but we’ve been assured that everything to love about CDF is coming back.

There will be complimentary tastings from more than 100 of SA’s best wineries, distilleries and food producers, alongside delightful masterclasses, indulgent long table dining, and free cooking demos.

This year’s festival will have the exciting addition of a Saturday night session, where guests will be able to enjoy complimentary tastings and choose to join a host of fabulous masterclasses such as Cheese + Chocolate with The Sugar Man and Kimbolton Wines’ Cheese & Wine Flight.

And if that wasn’t enough, CDF is launching a new VIP ticket offering the ultimate Cellar Door Fest experience, which provides entry for two to any session across the weekend and a host of other benefits such as exclusive access to the Cellar Door Fest VIP Lounge and a bottle of Tomich wine to enjoy at the Festival or take home.

As well as the exciting new experiences on offer, there will be plenty of returning favourites including The Great Wine Capitals Discovery Space bursting with award-winners and finalists from South Australia’s Best of Wine Tourism Awards, ‘The Distillery’ district, showcasing amazing SA distillers, and the Artisan Food Market.

Also back by popular demand is the Bushfire Relief Market which will give producers from Kangaroo Island and the Adelaide Hills a free platform to sell their products.

Festival director Alex Bradford describes Cellar Door Fest as always championing the great food and wine regions of SA.

“We offer the ability for people to come to the city, meet the makers, discover great local SA brands and get a taste of what the regions have to offer, from which they can go on to plan their regional visits,” Alex said.

Over 90 percent of attendees last year purchased from an exhibitor while 95 percent said they planned to visit an exhibitor at a later date showing the positive impact CDF has on regional producers.

This year’s tickets are limited and only available for purchase online (there will not be tickets available at the door, so get in early.
