Cheese-A-Holics Cheese Festival Rolls Into Morphettville Racecourse

The festival that’s all things cheese, plus wine, beer and more is coming to a new location this year!

The team behind Cheese-A-Holics, the little cheese shop formerly in Plant 4 Bowdon, are ushering in another season of cheese and wine appreciation with the return of Cheese-A-Holic Festival this July 21.

The festival which was previously held at Plant 4 Bowden will take place in the much larger Morphettville Racecourse, a more spacious space to host samples of cheese from Australia and around the globe.

The cheese will be accompanied with the best wine, gin, and condiments from 25 local homegrown artisan producers and wholesalers. Names like the Barossa Valley Cheese Company or for the vegan member of the squad, Milkless Vegan Cheeses are expected amongst many more.

Lloyd Brothers‘ sparkling wines, Never Never gin and Big Shed Brewing Company’s craft beer have all hands on deck. Alongside a range of food vans like Gang Gang Burgers and Turkish Ozzie Gozleme for the visitors less inclined to gorging on cheese.

There’s even a photo contest with who can take the best photo of the day, we’re assuming that it’ll need a distinctly cheesy theme.

Masterclasses, running all day and limited to 40 members per class, pair award-winning labels like Beston’s Edwards Crossing Cheeses and Adelaide Hill’s winery Main & Cherry Wines, who will showcase how to best pair cheese and wine.

There’s a wine and charcuterie masterclass courtesy of San Jose Smallgoods and a session on the curious combo a cheese and beer by Big Shed Brewing Co.
